Latin Lounge features three of Vancouver's uniquely talented musicians
Al Guraliuk

Al Guraliuk  

Since receiving his Bachelor of Music degree from UBC in 1979 Al has traveled to New York, LA, New Orleans, Havana, San Juan and Rio de Janeiro to further study music. He is actively involved in Vancouver’s musical community performing in a variety of bands.

This talented horn player has been a featured jazz soloist at concerts held at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre and The Arts Club Theatre. As Musical Director, Al has performed with headlined Las Vegas acts and with many of Vancouver's finest performers. The vast majority of his previous musical career was as leader of Champagne, a top forty dance band. Latin Lounge, Al’s latest project, is the perfect outlet for his love of Jazz, World Beat, Pop and Lounge music.

John Gilliat

Through the strings of his guitar, John brings to life a fresh direction in Nuevo Flamenco. After high school John toured across Canada and the United States with various pop groups, playing venues such as Harrah's in Lake Tahoe and the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. 

After several years John took the time to formally study at Capilano University and immersed himself in Flamenco guitar tradition. This master guitarist has sold over 20,000 copies of his albums to date.

Paul Bray

Paul Bray

Paul Bray is a dynamic and charismatic multi-talented percussionist working as a music educator and performer in Vancouver. He has devoted his attention to the study of Afro-Cuban and Afro-Brazilian musical styles and has studied extensively in Cuba and Brazil. 

Paul has performed with Nuevo Flamenco recording artist Jesse Cook and numerous other Latin and Drum ensembles. Currently, Paul is an instructor at the Sarah McLachlan Music Outreach and a freelance musician.
